Betascout
July 6th, 2006Thank You, Beta!
Is this a celebration or a sarcastic note?
What is more interesting? Cool web apps or the coders who created them?
Today we gladly announce the launch of the BetaRise Project. With this project we aim to provide a global platform for the exchange of beta’s, from insights to ideas, on applications and people.
To realise our ambitions we decided to launch an information sharing service called BetaScout. Via this service we plan to present you with lots of examples of beta’s, which, in our view, are worth exploring further. The official launch of the beta version of BetaScout is scheduled for 1 September.
As nobody can afford to stand still so haven’t we. We believe we will pleasantly surprise you with some cool stuff in the coming months, from insights related to the Webby Awards to ideas generated at TheNextWeb Conference, from discussion at eDay to showcased beta’s at NextFest, from concepts generated at Innovation Playground to of course not to forget our own BetaScout Award program.
For now and above all, it is important to know that we are pro beta’s! We believe we can help power the BetaRise trend. We believe inspiring beta’s will benefit us all.
How to wrap up a first post in a beta like fashion??
Ok, here’s a thought for you:
Aren’t we all constantly under construction?
